DEATH NOTICE

Higginson - Mr. Leslie Pattee

from Hawkesbury passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013

at the age of 85.

He was the beloved husband of the late May Higginson nee Matthew;

the son of the late Howard Higginson and of the late Alice Powell;
the loving father of Leslie (Susan Chamberlain), Ross (Johanne) and Percy (Jill Cass);
the adored grandfather of Julia, Nick, Chris, Val, James and Kate.
He was predeceased by his brothers Howard (late Marcelline), Ben, Henry (late Enid), Ernie (Jean) and Lawrence (Elizabeth).
He is survived by many sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

A high school teacher, vice principal and school superintendent, Leslie also contributed to his community as church warden and lay minister, Scout leader, member of the hospital board and historical society, alumnus of Guelph University.
An inspiration to his family, he will live on in those he touched.

Friends may call at Berthiaume Funeral Home Ltd. 416, McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511 Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Hawkesbury on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11 a.m.

Leslie was one of our favourite people while we lived in Hawkesbury. He was a mentor to Don during his Prescott Russell CBE days, A staunch colleague to both Annette and Don while we were fellow Anglicans. We admired his intelligence, his wide range of scientific interests and his consistent good humour. His family was one to be proud of.We hope that you find comfort in your happy memories of him.
