Mr. Kelly was a wonderful educator and a good man. I am very saddened to learn of his passing. I know so many kids who benefitted from his presence at Pleasant Corners Public School. I was certainly one of them. 30 years after graduating, I remember him fondly.

Sad news for our family who knew Ed through the school, the church, golf and socially. I was an elder and steward at the Hawkesbury United Church and know what a contribution the Kelly family made to the Hawkesbury area in so many ways. Hildegard, Nick, Ingrid and Scott .

Mr. Kelly was such a fine man and I have fond memories, working with him on Kindergareten issues and programming in Prescott-Russell. He rose to the challenge of working with Kindergarten teachers and his guidance was truly appreciated. Bev Scott, retired, Kindergarten, Russell Public School.

To the Kelly Family, It was with great sadness I learned about Mr. Kelly's passing. I carry wonderful memories of my public school days with Ed as the Principal. But even after many years away, when I did visit Hawkesbury and saw Mr. Kelly there was always a wonderful Smile, terrific Hello and a sincere "How are you". Mr. Kelly, we will miss you. Carol Kego

My deepest sympathy to Marion, Susan and Mary. I think I saw you Susan with your dad at the Ottawa Civic, Cancer Center when I was driving my Aunt for her treatments. But when I went back to talk to you, you were already gone. So sorry I missed you. Then when mom and I were in the Hawkesbury Hospital to bring my uncle home, we went to see him and he was already gone. When I was returning to Port Hope and driving by Pleasant Corners, I could actually see Ed in front of an assembly, rocking on his feet waiting for the students quiet down. I bet Susan you do the same now!. Take care of each other.
