DEATH NOTICE

EDWARD LEMAY
August 5, 1921 – January 17, 2013

Edward ‘’Eddy’’ Lemay of Hawkesbury Ontario passed away peacefully at the Prescott Russell Residence.

Born on August 5, 1921, he was the eldest son of the late Hector Lemay and Ellen Gustaffson of Hawkesbury.

Eddy is survived by the love of his life, his beloved wife of 65 years Mary (Jardine).

Dearly loved Dad of John (Lois) of Austin Texas and Brenda (Dr. Christopher Brooks) of Hudson Québec, and the cherished Grampa of Matthew, Carolyn, Meaghan, Victoria and Allyson.

Eddy was the dear brother of Richard (Doreen), late Elmer (Shirley), Lillian (late Ken), Gladys (Ted), Ruth and late Ann.

He was also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

A world War II veteran (RCAF) Eddy gave much to his community as a minor hockey coach, and as a Ham Radio operator (VE3CUF). An accomplished fisherman, his lively fiddle and harmonica playing enthralled his grandchildren and friends alike.

Eddy had a kind gentle soul, was liked by all who knew him and will be in our hearts forever.

Friends may call at Berthiaume Funeral Home Ltd. 416, McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511 Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 from 1 p.m.
for visitation, followed by a short service at the McGill Chapel at 2 p.m. in Hawkesbury that will be officiated by the Reverend Bob Martin.

For those who wish, donations to the Prescott Russell Residence Foundation, 1020 Cartier Boulevard, Hawkesbury, Ontario K6A1W7 would be appreciated.
