DEATH NOTICE
BOYD, GLADYS MARGARET (MCMEEKIN)
Dec. 27, 1922 – Dec, 7, 2013
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Gladys passed away peacefully at the Heartwood Residence in Cornwall, Ontario at the age of 90 with her loving husband at her side.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Lorne of 71 years, sons, Malcom (Judy) of AB and David of BC, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Walter (Jean) and sisters Helen (late Philip Oswick) and Evelyn (Gordon Mathew).
Predeceased by son, Larry and daughter, Linda Sauvé (Wayne), parents Walter McMeekin and Ethel Laughren.
Throughout the years Gladys enjoyed many activities: cards, knitting, reading, bowling and swimming. She enjoyed travelling to exotic places, trips to see her sons and families in AB and BC and numerous outings along the St. Lawrence in the cabin cruiser with Lorne.
Friends may call at Berthiaume Family Funeral Home 416, McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511 Friday, December 13, 2013 from 1 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel in Hawkesbury on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. and refreshments to follow.
