I apologize to my father that I am not attending Wednesday's service to put you to rest due to unforseeable and stressful circumstances, I needed the understanding and support of my immediate family. Although most importantly is that your loving partner, my step-mother, Lucie, your son-in- law, Arnold, your grand-daughter Lise and myself had the opportunity to spend your last few months, days and hours with you. Personally I am happy that in those last few months that we were able to put our differences to rest. A warm memory and song you enjoyed sticks in my mind when I was a child. Sunday mornings, you were Mr. Chef boy-o-boy, putting together breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, browned hashed potatoes with little onions and peppers and a glass of tomato juice with too much pepper...lol. You would play ever so loudly, dancing and singing in the kitchen over the stove, "It's Hard To Be Humble" by Mac Davis. You were happy then...and it makes me smile. May those thoughts stay with you, because those memories will stay with me forever. On another note I send my sincere condolences to his friends. As for my numerous aunts, uncles and family for their love, understanding and support in these stressful and trying times. Dad...I know YOU fully understand and I am okay with myself in a difficult way...it was important to me to be with you when you were alive and that was accomplished and all that really matters. Rest in peace from your grand-children, Luke and his wife Jessica with great-grandson, William, your grand-child, Lise, my husband Arnold and myself, your daughter, Joanne. Joanne XXX
