DEATH NOTICE
Elizabeth (Betty) Poole Brochocki
1922 - 2015
At 93, on June 24, at Hawkesbury General Hospital, after a brief illness, Betty returned to the loving arms of her beloved family: cherished husband Stefan; sisters Helen Mackey and Mary Biers; brother Ted Poole; and parents Mary (Bryerton) and Ernest Poole. Survived and greatly missed by her beloved daughter Stefanie, son Jan, and grandson Konrad. Also survived by nieces, Kathy and MaryAnne, and nephew, Danny. Betty was born in Cochrane, ON, but grew up in St. Laurent QC. After marrying, she and Stefan moved to St. Eustache to raise their young family. Betty worked for many years as manager of WHSmith Bookstore in Central Station, Mtl. She was also active in local politics and bowling leagues, and was a Girl Guide leader. Betty had recently moved to Heritage Lodge Retirement Home in Vankleek Hill, ON. Many thanks to the wonderful caring staff who welcomed her there.
Funeral details were entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home 416, McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 4 at 1 pm at St John the Apostle Anglican Church, 5845 Church St. (off Hwy 34), Vankleek Hill ON. The family will be present from 12:30 p.m. to receive your condolences. A reception will follow to share memories of Betty.
