Ellen Louisa Cooke Rivers

August 10, 1923 - April 8, 2016

Ellen was born in Bournemouth, England and passed away peacefully in Lachute, Québec at the age of 92.

She was the daughter of the late Franklin Cooke and the late Elio Andrews;
the spouse of the late Earl Arthur Rivers;
the loving mother of Dianne (Stanley Petrica) and Mary-Ann (Joost Harwig);
the adored grandmother of Jennifer (Zachary), Kurt (Andria), Mark (Milusha) and the great grandmother of Amber, Elliot, Hana and Anoush;
the cherished aunt of Mary Page.
She was predeceased by her sister Gladys.

The family wishes to thank and send their appreciation to Lana and Beverly for their caring and watchfulness over Ellen in the last years of her life, also to the kind and dedicated staff
of Jardin d'Audrey in St-Andre d'Argenteuil, Québec.

Ellen immigrated to Canada as a war bride when she met and married Earl.
Ellen and Earl spent most of their Canadian years in Deux Montagnes, Québec. They were very active in the community and enjoyed the friendship of many.

A funeral service will be held at the Holy Family Church, 1001 Chemin d'Oka, Deux-Montagnes, QC on Thursday April 21th at 1 p.m. The family will be present from 12:30 p.m. to receive your condolences.
