DEATH NOTICE
SAMSON, Robert (Sam the Man) – With great sadness that we announce the passing away of Robert Sam the Man Samson in his 68th year on August 16th, 2016 at the Hawkesbury General Hospital.
He will be sadly missed by wife, Madeleine (Latulippe), and son Louis, and grand children, Sabrina, and Louis-Robert.
He was predeceased by his father, the late Eugene (Frenchie) Samson, and mother Almida Samson (Riley), and younger brother Roger Samson.
He leaves behind sister Therese L’Abbe (Samson) and her late husband Luc, and nephew Marc and family.
He leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was a member of the Cornwall Nativity Guards. He worked in Cornwall Ontario at Courtaulds of Canada Limited, at Levac Shoe store, and was a supervisor at Capital Food Services for twenty years in Ottawa.
Robert’s wishes were for cremation, and a celebration of his life which will be held on September 29, 2016 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church – 320 Olmstead Street in Vanier Ontario at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow at the same location.
Many thanks to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home in Hawkesbury for their kindness and understanding, to Hawkesbury General Hospital Emergency and ICU Units, and special thanks to Pinecrest Nursing Home in Plantagenet Ontario and their wonderful staff for their patience, kindness, and good care during Robert’s illness, and duration of his stay.
