DEATH NOTICE
Mr. John Allan (Jack) Histed from L'Orignal
passed away peacefully at the Prescott-Russell Residence
on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the age of 88.
He worked in the pulp and paper industry for over 39 years. He was internationally recognized for being a pulp bleaching expert. His passion was gardening. He was a gardener ‘Par Excellence’.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Roberta (Young), of nearly 65 years, his children, Brenda Adams (Errol), Barbara Mainville and Patricia Bruce (Robert), his four granddaughters, his great grandson and his sister Betty Heuchan (late Murray).
He was predeceased by his parents, John Henry Histed and Ora Eileen Myles.
As per Jack’s wish, there will be no visitation or service. His ashes will be spread in his garden.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416, McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
For those who wish, a memorial donation can be made to the Prescott-Russell Residence Foundation, 1020 Cartier Blvd., Hawkesbury, Ontario, K6A 1W7.
