DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Herbert Chew from Hawkesbury passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the age of 84.
He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Chew nee Le Dain;
the son of the late Herbert Sr. Chew and of the late Fanny Bryon Cuthbert;
the loving father of Brian (Pannaphat), Randy (Margaret) and Dean (Yvonne);
the adored grandfather of Martine, Erika (Breandon Barnett), Jennifer, Christopher, Jonathan, Matthew, Stephan, Ryan, Ploysopid, Kittapan and the great grandfather of Hayden;
He was predeceased by his sisters.
He is survived by a sister-in-law also by many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Friends may call at F.X. Berthiaume Chapel 1243, Street Lansdowne, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1 p.m. A celebration will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m.

I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your dad. Uncle Sonny will be greatly missed. I always called him Uncle Sonny as a child and loved coming to visit him. Even though the visits down east were not very frequent the memories I have of him are special and I will cherish them always. Rest in Peace Uncle Sonny, I love you and miss you. Brian, Randy and Dean, May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all during the Memorial and the Celebration of his life. I am so sorry to hear about dear Bert. He was the historian in the Chew family and gave us a lot of background on my mother's side of the family. His father and my mother's father were brothers. So, we are cousins, once or twice removed (I never could figure that out). On behalf of my niece, Megan, I would like to offer our condolences. We saw Bert and Shirley and Bandit in 2010 after my mom, Dorothy, passed away. I never got to meet his boys, but I want them to know that they are in my prayers at this sad time.
