Mr. Petar Kalapati from Hawkesbury originally from Novi Sad, Serbia

passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the age of 83.

He was the beloved husband of the late Julianna Cegledi;

the son of the late Istvan and Terez Kalapati.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Eva Kalapati, his nephew Stephen Kalapati (Maria Farkas) and family, his niece Veronika (Evike) Kalapati (Steve Hornyak) and family , his nephew Peter (Peti) Kalapati and family, his nephew Robert Muhari (Anka Muhari) and family and by many extended family members and many many friends especially, Irena Kalapos and John and Elizabeth Molnar.

Peter and his wife Julianna came to Canada 50 years ago. In the early years in Canada, he worked at different Hungarian businesses. He quickly learned to become and auto body mechanic. He joined the famous and well know G.M. dealership, Harrold Cummings where he stayed until he stopped working.

Family and friends are invited to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 1243 Lansdowne Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511 on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7:15 p.m.
