DEATH NOTICE
Mrs. Angela Burlton
1952-2018
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Angela Burlton, affectionately known as Angie or Professor Burlton, of Montreal, who passed away after a long and courageous battle against cancer on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the age of 65.
Angie leaves her wonderful husband Jacques. She was the daughter of the late Georges Burlton and of the late Josephine Broderick. She will be missed by her boys: Philippe (Myriam) and Eric (Suzanne); as well as by her brother Stephen and her sisters: Jo-Ann and Barbara, and especially her granddaughter Madeline. Many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and many friends will miss the opportunity to have a good glass of wine with her on the balcony with good conversations.
A passionate woman, she loved art, culture and people. Angie was quick-witted and did everything with a tireless desire. A real entrepreneur. She always listened or paid special attention to those who needed it, especially her students at the Dobson Center at McGill University where she taught entrepreneurship over a period of 20 years in addition to her many other subjects. We will all miss her company either during a game of tennis, a trip, relaxing with her reading a good book or enjoying her good food.
The Family would especially like to thank the medical staff of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and the Balfour Mount Palliative Care Centre for their outstanding devotion. A particular thank you to Dr. Sarah Kerner, Dr. Karen Kost, Dr. Lorenzo Ferri and Dr. Nathaniel Bouganim.
The family invites you to join them in paying a last tribute to Angie at the Rialto Theater, Rialto Room - 2nd Floor, 5711, Ave. Du Parc, Montreal, Quebec, on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4 pm to 6 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm and on Friday, July 20th, 2018 as of 10 am. A ceremony in her memory will follow at the same place at 11 am.
Donations, can be made to honour Angela’s memory to the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Foundation dedicated to the research funds # 9120, 700-5100 de Maisonneuve Boulevard West, Montréal, QC H4A 3T2.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing Angela. I only knew Angela for a very short time when we were young patients at the Royal Victoria Hospital in April 1965. However, her smile, her laughter and her kindness as a young teenager left such an impression on me that her name was never forgotten. I am thinking tonight of all her beloved family members because I know that she will be greatly missed.

I was very saddened to learn of the recent passing of Angela.. While I didn't know her well, I always appreciated her beaming smile and positive perspectives whenever she made the occasional visit to the dean's office at the Desautels Faculty of Management. We shared a number of warm and pleasant chats over the years. My sincere condolences for your loss.

I wish to pay homage to a wise and generous women. Angela helped the Argyle Institute of Human Relations through some very difficult days as it struggled to define its role in the community and find support for its mission. We are very grateful for her continuing interest and solid and reliable advice throughout the years. We could not have had better counsel. We will miss her.
