DEATH NOTICE
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of
MRS SIMONE ST-DENIS NEE PILON
on Thursday July 25th 2019 at the age of 102.
She was the beloved wife of the late Albert St-Denis, the daughter of the late Joseph Pilon and of the late Clémina Daoust. She was predeceased by her sister, Cécile (Adrien Joly) and her brothers, Léo, Lionel (Lucille Picotin, 2nd Diana Charbonneau), Roland (Hélène Beaulne) and Armand.
She leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law and her brother-in-law, Thérèse St-Denis, Solange St-Denis (late Gaston Charette), Laurette St-Denis (Isaïe Dupont), Germaine St-Denis (late Raymond Louis-Seize), Lise Larocque (late Raymond St-Denis). Many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law predeceased her, Eugène (Gabrielle Lalonde), Octave (Thérèse Laurin), Rosa (Henri Malette), Aurore, Léo (Claudette Desforges), Jeanne d'Arc (Michel Pharand), Rita (André Dupont) et Jean-Paul.
She also leaves her 42 nieces and nephews, their families and also her friends from her prayer Circle and from the Carillon Manor and Prescott-Russell Residence.
A special thanks to her two nieces, Mrs. Yvette St-Denis Larocque and Mrs. Ghislaine Pilon Gauthier, because of their dedication and tenderness, they were able to embellish the latest years of Aunt Simone.
Family invites relatives and friends to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416, McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511 on Thursday, August 1st from 4 p.m. to 8 pm. and on Friday, August 2nd from 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Saint-Pierre-Apôtre Parish, 470, Main Street East, Hawkesbury at 2 p.m. followed by the interment at the Hawkesbury cemetery.
The reception will take place in the basement of the Chute-à-Blondeau Community Center, 2005, Main Street, entrance at the back. For those who have difficulty moving, transportation will be available. Please notify Alice Ladouceur 613-632-9676.

Cher famille St-Denis, que de tristesse se manifeste pour moi par le départ de madam St-Denis. Elle fût mon professeur lors de mon séjour à l'école Christ-Roy. Elle a toujours su démontrer cette compréhension et surtout l'amour qu'elle nous témoignait chaque jours. Malgré son départ à un âge si honnorable, Madame St-Denis, pour ceux qui s'en souviendront, fût une personne déterminante dans notre cheminement de vie. Comme ancien élève, je te rends hommage pour ton dévouement, ta didactique et ton engagement auprès de tous tes élèves. Adieu à mon professeur de cinquième année, après toutes ces années, les souvenirs de classe au Christ-Roi restent bien inscrits à la craie dans nos mémoires. Nous avons eu le privilège de t'accompagner lors de ton 100ième anniversaire. Merci pour avoir été mon enseignante. Que Dieu te garde une place de choix auprès de ses élus.
