DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Gaston Prégent of L'Orignal passed away on Monday, November 4th, 2019 at the age of 88.
He was the loving husband of Mariette Pilon Prégent;
the son of the late Donat Prégent and the late Eva Gascon;
the beloved father of the late Yvon, Gaëtan (Géraldine), Lise (Denis) and Michel (close friend Linda);
the beloved grandfather of Marie-Josée, Yves (Julie), Sylvain (Laurie), Alexandre-Roger (Benoit), Éric (Jane) and Valérie;
the great-grandfather of Alexandre, Jessy, Sébastien, Fanny and William-Hendrix;
the dear brother of Marguerite and André;
the godfather of Nicole Prégent, Lucie Prégent, Marie-Josée Prégent and Line Montreuil.
He was predeceased by 5 brothers: René, Émile, Lucien, Gérard and Urbain as well as 6 sisters; Aldéa, Sr. Marie, Thérèse, Jeannette, Simone and Agathe.
He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Prescott-Russell Resience, as well as Dr. Borduas for their great care, and a special thank you to Mrs. Monique Bonneau for her devotion and kindness at home.
Gaston had been part of the great family of Les Hommes à chevaux (harness race) for over 60 years. He was very proud of this achievement and he always kept it close to his heart.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
A service will take place at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church of L'Orignal on Friday, November 22nd, 2019 at 11 a.m.
The family will be at the church starting at 10 a.m. to receive your condolences.
