DEATH NOTICE

On Monday, February 10, 2020, Mr. Serge Millette, owner of S.M. auto parts in Charlemagne Québec, passed away surrounded by his family, at the age of 67.

This renowned man, for whom there was always a good reason to celebrate and gather, will be missed by all. For his family, with whom he loved to spend time, he leaves a huge void. Especially for his beloved wife, Louise Léonard, with whom he shared wonderful years. His children, Caroline (Eric Gendron) and Patrick (Mélissa Blouin), as well as his grandchildren Camille, Léanne Anaëlle, Elyot, Maxime, Raphaël and Louka will miss the family gatherings where excellent meals were enjoyed. Who prepared the meals? None other than Serge, an epicurean in his spare time, who loved to discover and try new flavours. Ask his sister Lise McKenna (André), his brother Michel and his sister-in-law Lucie Léonard (Jean-Claude) for whom he will forever be in their hearts, how this chef was up to the task.

A savvy businessman, he knew how to maintain his friendships with all his family and friends. His great friends Robert Emond (Manon) and Denis Brown (Lucie) will surely tell you about the good times spent in his company, depending on the season, with this hockey maniac or golf enthusiast. The community is losing a leader, a man of great values and a `bon vivant`. His involvement with the Optimists (Governor of the Central Quebec District 1999-2000 and Vice-President International Optimist 2004-2005) is a testament to his commitment to his community and youth.

Now that he has gone to join his parents, the late Roger Millette and Aline Lanoux, as well as his sister Nicole Forget (René) and his brother-in-law, Louis, in another destination, there will surely be other wonderful encounters... the essence of his spirit of the Gatherer will remain forever.

In this unifying spirit, Serge's family invites you to come and meet them at the St-François D'Assise Funeral Complex, 6700 Beaubien Street E. Montreal, QC, H1M 3E5 (514) 735-2025 on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, February 20, 2020 starting at 10:30 a.m. A celebration will be held at the same location on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 1:30 pm.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
