DEATH NOTICE
Mr. James (Jimmy) MacDonald from Lachute passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the age of 84.
He was the beloved husband of Shirley MacDonald nee Curran;
the son the late Clifford MacDonald and of the late Evelyn Finley;
the loving father of Michael (Annie), Glen (Hollie) and Patrick (Jessica);
the adored grandfather of Bryce, Blake, Samantha, Dayton and the great grandfather of Ryder;
the dear brother of Raymond, Kay (Flemming Rasmussen) and Merton (Phyllis).
He was predeceased by four brothers: Donald (Emily), Alfred (Brenda), George (Madeleine), Johnny also by two sisters Isabelle (late Charlie) and Barbara (late Doug).
He is survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff especially the palliative ward Sacré Coeur Hospital of Montréal for the great care.
Jimmy will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and friend to everyone, a great fisherman and gardener. He lived life to the fullest, chatting with family, friends also spending time with nieces and nephews.
He had the uncanny ability to bond with people in a deep and heartfelt way which made him unique in the world. He will forever be remembered and never forgotten.
Friends may call at Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416, McGill St., Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in Armande’s Garden Chapel on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 1 p.m.
For those who wish, donations to the Hospital Sacré Coeur de Montréal, 5400 Gouin West Boulevard, Montréal, Québec, H4J 1C5 would be appreciated.
