DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Douglas William Johnstone from Hawkesbury passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the age of 87.
He was the beloved husband of Edith Johnstone born Mather;
the son of the late Robert Johnstone and of the late Margaret Mitchell;
the loving father of Alison (Layne Kulchecki), Robert (Johanne Laliberté) and Andrew (Meagan Calder);
the adored grandfather of Sarah, Heather, Neriah and the great grandfather of Salem;
the dear brother of Margaret (Alec Hutchison), Robert and Irene.
He is survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Proud Canadian and originally from Edinburgh Scotland Doug will be remembered for his devotion to the members of Local 1661 Duplate/PPG Hawkesbury and his spirited sense of humour.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Chartwell-Champlain Nursing Home and the staff of the east wing of the Hawkesbury General Hospital for the great care.
Funeral details were entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home Ltd. 416, McGill St., Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
A private gathering will be held on December 12th 2020.
