I just wanted to offer sincere condolences to Mrs. Hughes family from the entire Lowe Family of Lachute. I believe Mrs. Hughes taught ALL the LOWE children from Lachute (that would be about 24 from my count) in Grades 1,2, & 3 from at St. Alexandre from about 1954 to 1970. I was the last one and Mrs. Hughes retired the year after I was done with her class. the joke was that Mrs. Hughes had run out of Lowe's, so she figured her work was done. All of our family remember her very distinctly and appreciate that she gave us all a great start on our schooling years. We also have a relation connection as Pauline's mother-in-law was Eva Lowe, my grandfather's sister. She lived a full, dedicated life. Our sympathy to all of her family. Gary Lowe
