DEATH NOTICE

Mrs. Mary Beks from L’Orignal passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the age of 93.

She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Beks;
the daughter of the late Harry Roefs and of the late Anna Brouwers;
the loving mother of Gerry (Diane D’Aoust), Harry (Jean Henman), William (Elaine Leduc), Ann Marie (Peter VanSleeuwen), late Willemina (Henry Byvelds), Janie (George Byvelds), Tina (Mike Calberry), Frances (Normand Riopel), Joanne (Michel Blais), Bernadette (Louis Pilon), Nelly (Dan Dazé) and Theresa (Doug Belanger);
the adored grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren;
the dear sister of Josephine (Peter Peteers), Tina (late Gerry Smolenaars), John (late Anna Mae) and Tony (Rita).
She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
She is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law from the Netherlands, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral details were entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home 416, McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.

A celebration will be held in the privacy of the immediate family.

There were times when she was too weak to stand, and could barely speak, but when Mary would call, I would hold the phone to her ear and watch her eyes light up as the two old friends spoke.
