DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Jacques Berthelot of Hawkesbury passed away surrounded by his children on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the age of 85 years.
He was the beloved husband of the late Madeleine Berthelot (née Murphy); son of the late Joseph Berthelot and the late Dorinda Quenville; beloved father of Roxanne (Pierre Campeau), Pierre (Tina) and Roger; beloved grandfather of Gabrielle (Jon Hatch), Virginie (Andrew Valleau), Mélanie, Cassandra (David Gracez) and Isabelle.
Jacques was the eighth child in a family of thirteen. He was predeceased by several brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Berthelot family and the Murphy family. He is also survived by other brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
After a 37 year career with Brewers Retail, Jacques continued to fulfill his potential as a handyman in construction and renovations. His other passions included beautiful cars, stove top wood and sweet desserts. As a committed volunteer, he assumed various responsibilities with the Caisse Populaire, Marriage Encounter and the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank. Helping his loved ones was a source of pride and energy for him throughout his life!
The family would like to thank the staff of the Belcourt Residence in Orleans and the staff of the Montfort Hospital for their excellent care.
The family invites friends and family to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Thursday, May 25th, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A celebration will be held in the Saint-Pierre-Apôtre church of Hawkesbury on Friday, May 26th, 2023 at 11 a.m.

We have very fond memories of our time as Jacques’ neighbours. Some of our best get togethers were when we played 99s around the kitchen table with both families. By the end of the evening, we had sore stomachs from laughing so much! We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Roxanne, Pierre, Roger and the extended Berthelot family.
