DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Bernard Bertrand of Hawkesbury (originally from L'Orignal) passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the age of 96.
He was the beloved husband of the late Estelle Bertrand née Tranchemontagne;
the son of the late Elie Bertrand and the late Armandine Scott;
the beloved father of Christiane and Luc (Jeanne Marie Lefebvre);
He was the beloved grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
dear brother of Marcelle (the late Wilfrid Roy).
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
The family would like to thank the palliative care staff of the Hawkesbury General Hospital for their loving care.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
Funeral service will be held at St-Jean-Baptiste Church in L'Orignal in the spring.
For those who wish, donations to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation, 1111, rue Ghislain, Hawkesbury, Ontario, K6A 3G5 would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.

La famille Bertrand a été des entrepreneurs dans notre région. Son père a été député fédéral, son oncle Anatole entrepreneur en construction, Jean exploitant un magasin général, son frère Yvon une cours à bois et lui-même Bernard fondateur de la compagnie Cable & Vision à Cornwall. Un homme d'une grande générosité envers sa paroisse de L'Orignal. Repose en paix Bernard.
