DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Romain Lortie of Hawkesbury passed away peacefully in his sleep during the night of July 15, 2024. He had just celebrated his 100th birthday, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was the son of the late Émile Lortie and the late Yvonne Roy;
the beloved father of Daniel (Holly) and father-in-law of the late Diane Larocque, the late Jean-Robert Larocque, Louis-Philippe Larocque (Monique), Michel Larocque (Francine) and Jean-Yves Larocque (Louise);
the Grandfather of Éric, Jean-Sébastien, Chantal, Annie, Philippe, Charles, Mathieu, Marie-France, Émile and Étienne, and great-grandfather of many great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister Jeannine (late Paul) also by brothers: Roger (late Andréa), Richard and Royal;
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario, 613-877-8511.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Élisabeth-Bruyère Residence for their attention and care over the years. For those who wish, a donation in Romain's memory to the Bruyère Foundation (613-562-6319) would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
