DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Léopold (Bidou) Vermette of Hawkesbury, previously from Chenail, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the age of 94.
He was the son of the late Wilfrid Vermette and Marie-Anne Marier;
the beloved uncle of Michel (Manon), Nicole (Yves), Francine (Wayne), Lise (Gilles), Suzanne (late Michel) and Manon (Marc).
He was predeceased by his brothers: Charles and Aurel, his sisters: Marie-Anne, Evelyne, Ella and Jacqueline, and his friend Claudette.
The family would like to thank the Manoir Carillon, the Hawkesbury General Hospital, the Champlain Residence and the second floor of the Prescott-Russell Residence for their kindness and good care.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario, 613-877-8511.
A celebration of life will take place in the privacy of the family.
For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society, P.O. Box 1852, Cornwall, Ontario, K6H 6N6 would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
