DEATH NOTICE
Luc Durocher of Montreal passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the age of 71.
He was the son of the late François Durocher and the late Huguette Beaulne;
the beloved brother of Nicole (Jean-Pierre Bertrand), Claude (Manon Beaudoin), and Diane (Robert Neveu).
He also leaves behind his friend Carlos Darlan Slompo.
He was predeceased by his brother Gaëtan (Richard Larouche).
He is also survived by his aunt Monique and several cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Montreal University Hospital (CHUM) for their excellent care.
Luc devoted his life to teaching elementary school in Montreal. Deeply passionate about literacy, he passed on his love of words to generations of students and enriched the field by writing several books. A great lover of French music, he found constant inspiration in the arts. Luc will remain forever in the hearts and memories of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family invites relatives and friends to the Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a celebration of life.
To protect a family member, you are asked to wear a mask. Masks will be available at the entrance.
For those who wish to do so, donations to the CHUM Foundation (Cancer), 465 McGill Street, Suite 800, Montreal, Quebec, H2Y 2H1 would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.

Tu seras toujours présent dans mon cœur car je me rappellerai ton merveilleux sens de l’humour, tes nombreuses taquineries et nos fous rires. Sois heureux car tu le mérites!
