DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Armand Lapierre from Hawkesbury, originally from Martintown passed away at home on Sunday, March 1st, 2026 at the age of 81.
He was the beloved husband of Claudia Lapierre (née Webb), cherished father of Robert (Denise), loving grandfather of Orin and Marshall, dear brother of Rene (late Jacqueline), Anita (late Nelson) and Adrienne (John).
He was predeceased by his parents: William Lapierre and Marguerite Jeaurond, his sister Murielle (late Yves) and his brother Marcel (Suzanne).
He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
The family would like to thank the first responders that helped on the night of Armand's passing for their excellent care, quick response and thoroughness.
Friends and family are invited to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Monday, March 9th, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at Paroisse Saint-Pierre-Apôtre in Hawkesbury on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at 11 a.m.
For those who wish, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute, 40 Ruskin St., Ottawa, Ontario, K1Y 4W7 and/or the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation, 1111 Ghislain Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario, K6A 3G5, would be appreciated.
Armand was a proud member of the Lions Club for over 48 years, where he finished his time with the Vankleek Hill & District Branch. During his many years with them he even had the honour of receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship award for his noble contribution to the Lions. During his spare time Armand thoroughly enjoyed genealogy where he even joined the Genealogy Center of Hawkesbury as a volunteer.

Rene and and Armand's extended family, my sincere condolences on the loss of Armand. While we did not connect last October, we did cross paths in 2024 and for a number of years previously at Long Point Lodge where we exchanged a few stories, cigars and drinks and talked about family and world issues. "Chances R" breakfasts with other retired Scotiabankers was another meeting place , and always a pleasure hearing his stories and keeping up with family happenings. He will be missed by many, I'm sure. It was an honour and privilege for me to have known both Armand and Rene and their families.
