DEATH NOTICE
Mrs. Reina Piette d’Alfred (originally from St-Bernardin) passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the age of 79.
She was the daughter of the late Wilfrid Piette and the late Lauria Giroux;
the beloved sister of Anita (Jean-Pierre Sauvé), Paul, Aline, and René (Lise).
She is also survived by several cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family would like to thank Lauraine, Huguette, and all the staff at Pension du Bonheur d’Alfred, the staff at Ontario Health at Home, and the staff at the Riverside Hospital in Ottawa for the excellent care provided.
Reina has left us, leaving behind the memory of a warm-hearted woman deeply attached to life’s simple joys. A lover of country music, she found in its melodies an echo of her zest for life and her simplicity. Above all, she cherished gatherings with friends—those moments of sharing where her smile and good humor brought hearts together. Her passing leaves a great void, but also a gentle legacy of sincere and precious memories.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
The funeral service will be held at St. Bernardin Church on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will be present starting at 10:30 a.m. to receive condolences.
For those who wish to make a donation, contributions to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, 201-1599 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, Ontario, L5G 4S1, and/or the Ottawa Hospital
Foundation, 737 Parkdale Avenue, 1st Floor, Ottawa, Ontario, K1Y 1J8, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
