DEATH NOTICE
Laurina Lanthier (née Duval) of Hawkesbury passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 94, at the Prescott-Russell Residence following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was the loving wife of the late Lucien Lanthier; the mother of five children: the late Richard (Christiane Lahaie), Claude (the late Line Sauvé), Ginette (Michel Bernard), Michel (the late Françoise Daoust), and Georges (Linda Bélair); the beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren (Éric, Olivier, Zoé, Zacharie, Alex, François, Sébastien, and Miguel), 23 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of the Duval family, predeceased by her parents Henri Duval and Rosilda Lepage Duval, her sisters Loranza, Janine, and Laura, and her brothers Frédéric and Paul.
Special thanks to the staff at Prescott-Russell Residence for the care they provided to Laurina over the past 6 years.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
A private celebration of life will be held.
