DEATH NOTICE
Mr. Raymond Danis of Hawkesbury passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the age of 77.
He was the beloved husband of Linda Larocque;
the son of the late Henri Danis and the late Margaret Hammond;
the loving father of Marie-Eve (Nicholas Leroux) and Eric;
the cherished stepfather of Philip (Kyra) and Stéphanie (Mike Feleksiak);
the adored grandfather of Catherine, Alexandre, Alexi, Emma, Raelyn, Evian, and Caleb;
the dear brother of Thérèse, Sergine, Richard (Sally), and Lise.
He was preceded in death by his brother Bob and his sister Alice.
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Colette Bougie, as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hawkesbury General Hospital for their excellent care.
Raymond was a remarkable businessman whose vision and determination left a lasting mark on his community. As the founder of Noreast Electronics and owner of La Cité Golf Club in Hawkesbury, Ontario, he built more than just successful businesses—he created places that brought people together. Known for his sharp wit and unique sense of humor, Raymond maintained his lighthearted spirit throughout his life, even in its final chapters. He will be deeply missed by his family, whose lives were enriched by his strength, laughter, and enduring love.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario, (877) 632-8511.
A private funeral service will be held for the family.
For those who wish to do so, donations to the Hawkesbury Food Bank, 419 Cartier Boulevard, Hawkesbury, Ontario, K6A 1V9, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation to the Food Bank in memory of your loved one.
