DEATH NOTICE
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Yvan Claude Vinet on May 20, 2026, at the age of 84.
Yvan is survived by his partner, Ms. Ginette Pelletier, with whom he shared many wonderful years of happiness, companionship, and affection.
Throughout his career, Yvan served the public as a police officer for the City of Montreal. A man of character, he loved adventure, freedom, and the great outdoors. Passionate about travel, he was particularly fond of Costa Rica, where he traveled on several occasions, sometimes even by car. He loved hitting the road, discovering new horizons, and making the most of every journey.
His passing leaves a great void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be missed by his cousins, his nephews and nieces, as well as by his many friends.
Yvan will be remembered as a generous, determined man who loved life, whose memories will continue to live on in those who had the privilege of crossing his path.
The family sincerely thanks everyone who offers their sympathy and support during this time of mourning.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hawkesbury General Hospital for the excellent care provided.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
A private family memorial service will be held.
The funeral home will make a donation to the food bank in memory of your loved one.
