DEATH NOTICE
Mrs. Louise Charlebois (née Berthiaume) of Hawkesbury passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the age of 84.
She was the loving wife of the late Yvon Charlebois;
the daughter of the late Adrien Berthiaume and the late Berthe Gratton;
the beloved mother of Marc (Murielle Pomainville) and Simon (Sylvie Lacelle);
the adored grandmother of Émilie (Luc Jr.), Valérie (Mike), Samuel (Karine), and Gabrielle (Jonathan), and the great-grandmother of Lilianne;
the dear sister of Françoise.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Gilles, Pierrette, Maurice, Hubert, Gilberte, Lucille, Marthe, Aline, and Sergine.
She is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Prescott Russell Residence for the excellent care they provided.
Louise Charlebois is remembered as a generous, caring woman who was deeply devoted to her community. For many years, she gave of her time with warmth and kindness by volunteering at the Hawkesbury General Hospital, where her dedication was greatly appreciated. She and her husband also loved sharing precious moments together watching sports on television—simple moments that nurtured their bond and happiness. Today, Louise has gone to be with the Lord. May her memory remain forever etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
The family invites family and friends to the Familila Berthiaume Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Friday, June 26, 2026, starting at 11 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m.
For those who wish to do so, donations to the Alzheimer Society, P.O. Box 1852, Cornwall, Ontario, K6H 6N6, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
