DEATH NOTICE
Marcel Charles Gauthier, son of Lorenzo Gauthier and Myrtle Gauthier (Beaulne) of L’Orignal, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at the age of 77.
He was the beloved father of Véronique Gauthier Berthiaume (Mathieu Berthiaume) and “Pépère” to Nicolas Berthiaume and Rosalie Berthiaume (Jacob Morter). He was preceded in death by his brothers Jean-Guy Gauthier and Robert Gauthier.
A graduate of Algonquin College with a degree in Commercial Art and a painter like his parents, he enjoyed painting scenes of nature and Canadian forests. He found joy in seeing and hearing about the adventures, successes, and achievements of his grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Manoir Carillon as well as the team at Hawkesbury General Hospital. In lieu of condolences, donations to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario, (877) 632-8511.
A private family ceremony will be held.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
