DEATH NOTICE
Mr. James Kennedy of Chute-à-Blondeau passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the age of 69.
He was the loving husband of Sylvie Ranger Kennedy;
the son of the late Francis Kennedy and the late Constance Cousineau;
the beloved father of Jean-Sébastien (Jessy LaPointe), Pascal (Stephanie Dubé), Krystèle (Martin Lachapelle), and Anne (Alexander Roy);
the adored grandfather of Ella-Ève.
He was predeceased by his brother Paul, his sister Hélène, and his daughter Karelle.
He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hawkesbury General Hospital for their excellent care.
James Kennedy leaves behind many memories, etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share a part of his life. For many years, he was part of a close-knit group of friends with whom he shared a deep bond, laughter, precious moments, and above all, his love of music. He loved playing with his friends, getting together with them, and enjoying those little joys that make life so beautiful.
Today, his absence leaves a great void. James will remain in our memories through his music, our shared memories, and all the beautiful moments we shared. He will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all those who loved him. We will miss him deeply, but his memory will always remain with us.
The family invites family and friends to the Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, starting at 12:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.
For those who wish to do so, donations to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation, 1111 Ghislain Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario, K6A 3G5, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
