DEATH NOTICE
Mrs. Claire Otway of Hawkesbury passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026,
at the age of 64.
She was the daughter of the late Donald Cameron and the late Cécile Jean-Louis;
the beloved mother of Shawn (Michelle) and Cassandra;
the adored grandmother of Esme and Landon.
the dear sister of James (Sylvie).
She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Ronald.
She is also survived by several cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Claire was a simple, gentle, and deeply loving person. She was particularly fond of butterflies—those delicate, free creatures that evoke beauty and transformation. If a butterfly ever comes to visit you, think of it as Claire perhaps sending you a little sign—a gentle presence from another life. 🦋
The family would like to thank the nurses at Hawkesbury General Hospital for the excellent care they provided.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
