Condolences
Deceased Person : Lawrence Ren Sunday, November 11, 2012The family of Lawrence Ren would like to thank you for your sympathy.
I read with great sadness of the passing of Mr. Proulx. He taught me at St. Anne School in Kitchener in the mid 1960's. He was an inspiring teacher and left a mark that is not forgotten to this day. I am sorry for your loss. It is one that is shared by his former students as well.

Mr. Proulx was my first principal at St. Patrick's school in Cambridge when I immigrated to Canada in 1971. I am sad to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful educator.

I was very sad to hear that my favourite teacher "Monsieur Proulx" had passed away. Both my older brother and I were extremely fortunate to have him as our French and History teacher at A.R. Kaufman Public School. I will cherish the memories of his enthusiasm, kindness, sense of humour and also that famous clipboard. I can still hear him saying "Une bonne note mademoiselle! From the daily history lessons to the proper pronounciation of the day of the week "Mardi" his teaching technique was extremely educational and very unique. We would like to send our deepest condolences to his family at this difficult time. Sincerely, "Mademoiselle Mandic"

Lawrence and I attended Schumacher Secondary School at the same time. We were great friends for many years and travelled during a summer in Europe together while Lawrence was with DND Schools. We had many great adventures and much laughter together with a beer of 2 as well. We did not stay in touch during the last several years but I did think of him often with wonderful memories and a smile . To Lawrence's family and to Alphonse and Pauline whom I knew well , My deepest sympathy. Gord Lessard
