AVIS DE DÉCÈS
Monsieur Armand Lapierre, de Hawkesbury, originaire de Martintown, est décédé à son domicile le dimanche 1er mars 2026, à l'âge de 81 ans.
Il était le mari bien-aimé de Claudia Lapierre (née Webb), le père adoré de Robert (Denise), le grand-père attentionné d'Orin et Marshall, et le frère cher de René (feu Jacqueline), Anita (feu Nelson) et Adrienne (John).
Il a été précédé par ses parents, William Lapierre et Marguerite Jeaurond, sa sœur Murielle (feu Yves) et son frère Marcel (Suzanne).
Il laisse également dans le deuil de nombreux cousins, cousines, neveux, nièces et amis.
La famille tient à remercier les premiers répondants qui ont intervenu dans la nuit du décès d'Armand pour leurs excellents soins, leur rapidité d'intervention et leur minutie.
Les amis et la famille sont invités à se rendre au salon funéraire Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, situé au 416 McGill, à Hawkesbury, en Ontario (877) 632-8511, le lundi 9 mars 2026, de 14 h à 16 h et de 18 h à 20 h.
Les funérailles auront lieu en la paroisse Saint-Pierre-Apôtre à Hawkesbury, le mardi 10 mars 2026 à 11 h.
Pour ceux qui le souhaitent, des dons à l'Institut de cardiologie d'Ottawa, 40, rue Ruskin, Ottawa (Ontario) K1Y 4W7, et/ou à la Fondation de l'Hôpital général de Hawkesbury, 1111, rue Ghislain, Hawkesbury (Ontario) K6A 3G5, seraient appréciés.
Armand était un fier membre du Lions Club depuis plus de 48 ans, où il a terminé son mandat au sein de la branche de Vankleek Hill & District. Au cours de ses nombreuses années au sein de cette organisation, il a même eu l'honneur de recevoir le prix Melvin Jones Fellowship pour sa précieuse contribution au Lions Club. Pendant son temps libre, Armand s'adonnait avec passion à la généalogie, et il s'était même joint au Centre de généalogie de Hawkesbury à titre de bénévole.

Rene and and Armand's extended family, my sincere condolences on the loss of Armand. While we did not connect last October, we did cross paths in 2024 and for a number of years previously at Long Point Lodge where we exchanged a few stories, cigars and drinks and talked about family and world issues. "Chances R" breakfasts with other retired Scotiabankers was another meeting place , and always a pleasure hearing his stories and keeping up with family happenings. He will be missed by many, I'm sure. It was an honour and privilege for me to have known both Armand and Rene and their families.
