DEATH NOTICE
Mr. André Clément of Hawkesbury passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 70.
He was the son of the late Gabriel Clément and the late Pauline Dubois;
the beloved father of Christopher;
the dear brother of Monique (Clyde MacDuff), Diane (Adrian Laspina), Louise (Raphaël Salituri), Michel, Francine (Mike Lavoie), Suzanne (Daniel Bérubé), Anne (André Depelteau), and Pierre (Claudia Figueroa).
He was predeceased by his sister Rachel.
He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Prescott Russell Residence for the excellent care provided.
The family invites relatives and friends to the Berthiaume Family Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
The funeral service will be held at St. Gregory of Nazianzus Parish in Vankleek Hill on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
For those who wish to make a donation, contributions to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 329 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Ontario, K6G 3R1, would be appreciated.
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.

I would like to express my condolences to all on the passing of Andre. What I’ve heard of Andre’s early years tells the story of an intelligent and strong young man, full of vitality and promise. Later, the challenges that beset him resulted in a life altering change of course. In spite of this, Andre remained true to his character, that of a kind, thoughtful and considerate person. I only knew him during the period of his life where his condition was deeply entrenched. The circumstances at this point were often difficult and his challenges were beyond my scope of understanding. Even so, I’ll never forget and will always respect that in spite of this, Andre was gracious to everyone he encountered. Whether he had a bit of money to spare, an extra cigarette or treat to share, Andre never hesitated to offer what he had. He never forgot to ask about his niece Claire and would always bring along a little gift for her. We had the opportunity to share some meals together at East Side Mario’s, the Colonnade Pizza and Louis’s Pizza and occasionally we’d drive him to his favourite depanneur in Gatineau to stock up on beer and cigarettes. Afterwards, we would take him home and he’d share his haul with whoever was around. As always, he was true to his nature. What a guy! Respectfully Andre, you will be missed. May you rest in peace.
