DEATH NOTICE
In Rockland, Ontario, Pauline Jeanne Dubois Radford passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024, at the age of 98. Born in Shawinigan, Québec, and raised in L’Orignal, Ontario, in a family of seven children. Pauline dedicated her life to loving those close to her. Married to her late husband, George Radford, for 76 years, Pauline leaves in grief her five children, Richard (Suzanne), Françoise (Tim), Carmen (Jean-Luc), Normand and Brian (Janice), 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Pauline accomplished many things in her long life, notably, working as an “ammunition girl” at a factory during the Second World War, managing, along with her late husband, the La Rouge Beach and owning and running a fabric store in Hawkesbury, Ontario, for many years. Above all else, Pauline will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law also many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the caring staff at Rockland Manor for their loving care.
The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home 416 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at 10:30 a.m. on January 20, 2024 at Saint-Jean Baptiste Church, 1057 Queen Street, L'Orignal, Ontario, followed by a celebration at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at La Cité Golf Club, 850 McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario.
For those who wish, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation 1111 Ghislain Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario or to Hillside Cemetery (hillsidehawkesbury@gmail.com).
The funeral home will make a donation in memory of your loved one to the food bank.
